I fell in love with the stone arch.
The stone arch was meant to be loved at first sight; it didn’t matter that it had been cropped by a false plaster ceiling.
A hint of rhythm appears in the three windows on the south façade.
The idea was clear: a social space facing the street and a private retreat at the back, divided by a fireplace — which I brought to the center (the extraction now runs through the mezzanine ceiling to the original chimney position).
The private area occupies two floors, while the social area takes advantage of the full height of the space.
The interventions were straightforward: clean up the spatial logic and bring in light.
The two blinded windows (there is construction right next to the building at the moment) are re-evoked through indirect light.
Restore order and rhythm to the space.
Remove the false ceiling and reveal the structure.
